It's not often in today's culture that the words "quirky," "sexy," "funky" and "heavy" are used in the same context together to describe something; however these are the exact words that people all over the Southeast are using to describe the Chattanooga, TN punk/funk/metal band OPPOSITE BOX.
Formed over eight years ago, OPPOSITE BOX has spent the majority of the decade sharpening and refining its sound from redundant, "high school-esque" alternative rock into the high-energy, genre-shifting brand of punk, funk and metal that is now the band's signature trademark. Combine that with an intense and furious stage presentation, as well as a high dose of audience interaction, and you have one of the greatest live local bands in the entire region.
Recently, the band has upgraded its lineup to include drummer Rasheen Isaac, bassist “Sick” Dave Graham and tenor/alto saxophonist Curtis Warner. Original founding members, vocalist Ryan Long and guitarist Richard Long, also remain as staples to the lineup. |
